Join us (and others) for a beach clean-up in north Kent
Join CPRE Kent, the Medway Swale Estuary Partnership and the RSPB for an extreme beach-clean this month.
We’re targeting Cliffe Pools RSPB reserve on Friday, March 27, and everyone is welcome.
The event is suitable for volunteers aged 12 and older as we will need to climb a 4ft metal ladder to get over the seawall and be working on a sloped surface.
The beach-clean will last from 10.30am-1pm and we’re meeting at the entrance to the reserve on Salt Lane, Rochester ME3 7SU (what3words putty.jobs.manage).
We will be driving to the site in convoy, so a prompt arrival time is required – the number to contact for the day is 07909 200915 (ask for Belinda).
Please wear sturdy footwear and dress for the weather as you’re more exposed on the foreshore – litter-pickers, bags and gloves will be supplied.
Note the beach-clean will be cancelled if there is a lightning storm or extreme wind or rain.
- This clean-up was made possible through The National Lottery Heritage Fund, with thanks to National Lottery players
