Our friends at Wootton Environment Protection Group want your support this month in their battle to protect a chunk of the Kent Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Lydden Hill racing circuit is seeking approval from Dover District Council to increase the number of days it holds events from 52 to 364 – that’s right, every day of the year bar one!
If its plans are approved, there will be a massive explosion of noise, congestion and pollution for all who live and love this stretch of the Kent Downs AONB.
This is the wrong place for intense and noisy commercial expansion on this scale.
If this matters to you, you’re being asked to attend the DDC planning meeting on Thursday, January 30, at 6pm.
As the group says, “even if you are not affected by the noise and traffic, there are many residents in Wootton, Shepherdswell and beyond who are, so please support your neighbours”.
The meeting is at Dover District Council, White Cliffs Business Park, Whitfield, Dover CT16 3PJ.
You’re advised to be there by 5.30pm if you want to get a seat in the chamber. If you need a lift, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
