Dover’s Green Infrastructure Strategy: you can join the consultation
Genuine opportunity to help improve the environment across a wide area
There have been encouraging signs in recent months that our natural environment is being given some consideration at Dover District Council.
And now the local authority is encouraging people to take part in a consultation on its draft Green Infrastructure Strategy.
The council’s website says: “We welcome your views on the Strategy, which sets out the Council’s approach to improving the network of green infrastructure across Dover district by:
- Creating more habitat for nature.
- Having quality public open spaces.
- Managing green infrastructure to adapt to the changing climate and support health and wellbeing.
- Having green infrastructure at the heart of new development planning.
- Working with our partners, communities, and residents to have more, improved, and better-connected green infrastructure.”
All of which sounds pretty good to us!
The consultation began yesterday (Tuesday, October 3) and ends on Tuesday, November 14.
- You can submit comments via the consultation website or via email to biodiversity@dover.gov.uk
